- The Microfilm Reader/Scanner may be booked in advance
- It is a stand-alone unit with an attached laser printer
- The Reader is able to project microfiche, 16 and 35mm microfilm
- Members (in good standing) must present their membership card for access
- Non-members will be signed on using the library's non-membership card
- There is no charge for using the Reader
- An inter-library loan service is available for microfilm from other sources
- The library owns a collection of local newspapers on microfilm
