The Community Foundation of Portage and District, Inc. has purchased this data
base to assist in community fund raising efforts.

The Canadian Directory to Foundations and Corporations (Imagine Canada)
has detailed funding histories of 3,100 foundations, 90,000 indexed grants, and
150 corporations.

Easy-to-use search tools allow the user to set parametres, narrowing the field
to list organizations most likely to support a particular cause.

Note: The licensing agreement for the library version for the Canadian
Directory to Foundations and Corporations requires the user to access the
program through the library's public access Internet machines.

A laptop computer, donated by the Community Foundation of Portage and District, Inc.,
is also available for the exclusive use of people wanting to access the Canadian Directory
to Foundations and Corporations.
